Lectures
1st Lecture: Mechanical principles of the foot (to reduce the pull of the DDFT and leverage at the toe.) How to reduce the pull of the DDFT and leverage at the toe, optimizing the mechanics of the foot. – Dr. Carlos Carvajal
2nd Lecture: Pathologies around the navicular bone. How to diagnose and treat the different problems that involve the navicular area. – Dr. Raul Bras
3rd Lecture: Venogram Interpretation. This contrast study provides a powerful stall side view of the foot’s vascular structures, enhancing our ability to diagnose and monitor a wide range of hood pathologies. This will be a practical deep dive into technique, pitfalls, and real-world interpretation. - Dr. Jaret Pullen
4th Lecture: Rocker shoes and beyond: Thinking outside the box for different pathologies. A practical approach from a farrier’s perspective on the different types and uses of rocker shoes. - Brian Buckner
Wet Labs
1st Session: Podiatry X-rays and Parameters – Learn how to acquire and interpret podiatry radiographs
2nd Session: Venograms (live horses)
3rd Session: X-ray Guided Shoeing on Live Horses
