This educational event will begin Friday night, at 6pm, with a live presentation on Nutrition by Dr. Marty Adams at the Slippery Rock Golf Course. The presentation will include a full course meal, sponsored by Cargill.
Dr. Adam’s presentation will focus on two goals:
Nutritional Management of Equine Metabolic Diseases
Nutritional Evaluation of Hay and Horse Feeding Applications
Saturday will begin with breakfast at 8am, at Storm Harbor Equestrian Center, Slippery Rock University. Presentations will begin at 8:30am with Dr. Kit Miller and Mr. Mike Wildenstein. Lunch is included in this event, and will be held at 12pm. Following lunch we will begin our hands on wet labs led by Dr. Miller and Mr. Wildenstein.

Radiographic anatomy of the foot- basic radiographic anatomy of the digit, important measurements to consider when taking radiographs for the farrier and veterinarian.
Discussing radiographs between veterinarian and farriers- how to approach the topic, what are important aspects to focus on, how to look at the horses foot conformation and radiographs to determine changes, etc.
